About Thirsty Candies
Thirsty Candies is San Antonio's smallest candy shop — 180 square feet on the Riverwalk, on Crockett Street, three blocks from the Alamo. It's the candy spinoff from the Thirsty Aztec family, built around one idea: $15 per pound, mix anything you want.
We opened in 2026 as a walk-up sweets stop for Riverwalk visitors, San Antonio locals, and the post-Spurs-game crowd. Chamoy scoop bins are the main event. The wall carries Mexican candy classics — Lucas, Pelon, Pulparindo, Tamalitoz — plus the freeze-dried chamoy and Parga dill pickle treats that have been blowing up TikTok.

Chamoy is the spicy-sweet-sour Mexican sauce made from pickled fruit, chili, lime, and salt — and it's the flavor San Antonio is built on. You'll find it on candy, fruit cups, micheladas, and mango on a stick across the city.
Every Thirsty Candies scoop bin is chamoy-forward: gummy bears, worms, peach rings, watermelon rings, and Vidal mangoes all coated in tamarind-cherry chamoy. Pick any candies from the scoop bins, mix as many as you want, fill your bag, pay $15 per pound flat. Bears, worms, peach rings, watermelon rings, spicy mangoes — same by-weight price. Want each candy in a separate tub? Add $5 per tub.
What is chamoy?

Do you sell freeze-dried chamoy?
Yes — we carry Trendy Treats freeze-dried chamoy on the wall, sold per pack. It's the TikTok-viral crispy version with bold tamarind-chili flavor.
Is Pulparindo spicy?
Medium heat — tamarind pulp with chili and salt. If you're new to Mexican candy, start with Pelon Pelo Rico (mild-sweet) and work up to Pulparindo and Lucas Gusano.
